Love Mercy 09 – Baltimore

On DECEMBER 28-31, 2009 – spanning over four cities (Baltimore, Louisville, Denver and Charlotte) thousands of students will be encouraged and challenged to accept the call to Love Mercy – Do Justice, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly with God.

The 2009 Area Wesleyan Youth Convention Love Mercy sees the dignity of every child of God, and compels us to respond to make a difference, even at a cost to ourselves. It is to proclaim the Good News of God’s compassion in Christ, to love our neighbor as ourselves, to work for justice and peace, respecting the dignity of every human person.

Youth Leaders/Pastors and students, come join the Northeastern Area convention in the beautiful seaport city of Baltimore, Maryland. Love Mercy ’09 will captivate and call you to be transformed and engaged in proclaiming the Good News of God’s compassion in Christ.I have the opportunity to be on the team to lead the convention in Baltimore.

Over the next few days I will highlight some of the key speakers, artists, special guests and highlights that you can expect to see at the convention. I would appreciate your prayers for our team, the speakers/artists and the pastors/leaders/students that will in attendance this winter.  God has some exciting things ahead of us and I want to invite you to come along for the ride.

About Kevin Beers

wanna see what I'm up to - twitter.com/kevinbeers Why do I blog? - Because I love my church but can’t personally connect to everyone who calls me ‘pastor’. The people and students at WCH/The Hub deserve everything I’ve got. This is one more way to give it. - Because ministry, life and leadership are better when learning is shared. - Because I’d rather offer my journey than just give my conclusions. - Because I need to practice being generous, not just with my money, but with my heart, too. - Because the Church/Kingdom/World is better when many voices are shaping the conversation it is having.
